In a quiet corner of western Devon, where most land is used to farm sheep, one man has decided to use his land to create a home for species that went extinct in the UK a long time ago. 

Derek Gow runs a 300-acre rewilding project in Devon where he has reintroduced beavers, wildcats and storks. 

These images are a small chapter of a story that chronicles the guerrilla environmentalists across Europe who have taken species reintroduction into their own hands, sometimes in defiance of what’s legal or not.
