19-year-old Nicholas Duffin is in the process of leaving his home in Ilfracombe to find a place where diversity is embraced. Max Streather, also 19, from Torquay, has already made the jump. Both have felt the sting of intolerance in a county that still fosters dated attitudes towards LGBT+ people and battled to overcome prejudice.
